Answer: Please check your City ordinances.
Many cities have these posted on their web sites, under a subheading of "Ordinances and Enforcement" or "Code of Ordinances". The ordinances will tell you about laws/regulations in your city regarding everything from amusements to trash pickup, nuisances to trees and shrubs, and elections to "animals and fowl".
