Hundreds of Mink Found Murdered

Here's a sad story. Hundred of baby mink and their nursing moms, and two sheepdogs, were found brutally murdered this past week on a Pennsylvania farm; thousands more had been "released." Click here for the story. Ironically, what's just as sad is that these mink are bred for their fur, and would have been slaughtered eventually. While I don't have any sympathy for the farm owners, I do have sympathy for the animals that were violently killed.

The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating, but, of course, not for any altruistic reasons about animals rights or welfare.

  1. I absolutely DESPISE people who kill animals only for thier own selfish needs.

That idea doesn't extend to hunting for food.

Just wastefullness of nature in general really pisses me off.

  2. when it comes to breeding any animal strictly for its pelt I think is irresponsable.
